Claude Dornier developed among other things a rotating hangar for Zeppelins, the Dornier Do X – the largest airplane of his time – and the Dornier Wal, for Roald Amundsen's spectacular expedition flight to the North Pole in the Arctic.

Opening hours:
May to Oct, daily 9am - 5pm, Tursdays until 8pm
Nov to April, Tues to Sun 10am - 5pm, every 1st Thursday until 8 pm,
also open on Mondays on public holidays and school holidays in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
